Dear Parent/Guardian,
The parking of vehicles in the vicinity of Thornhill Primary School at the start and end of the school day is a PACT priority for the local community of Thornhill due to the nature in which they are parked, namely: parking on pavements, obstructing driveways, parking within 10 meters of a junction, leaving an engine running whilst parked, and the lack of space left for emergency vehicles to pass between vehicles parked on both sides of the road.
contravention of parking restrictions and leaving insufficient room for emergency vehicles by parking on both sides of the road will result in the health and safety of residents and children especially being placed at risk.
Your support would be gratefully appreciated through parking your vehicle at the start and end of the school day on Heol Hir and its surrounding streets on the green lines on the enclosed map.
The Lisvane and Thornhill Neighbourhood policing team will be actively monitoring parking in the vicinity of Thornhill Primary School along with increased patrols by Civil Enforcement Officers, whom may issues fixed penalty tickets.
